Public Utility Rebate Programs
Public utility districts (PUD) and energy companies are helping their customers become more energy efficient. These programs are available in the form of rebates and green loans for energy efficient projects.
Rebate
There are many versions of public utility rebate programs. To qualify for most programs you must reach a u-factor of .30 or below. In many cases the rebate is offered on a Sq Ft. basis; I.E. you get so many dollars a sq ft for reaching the requirements. You must be one of their customers.
You can look up consumer rebates by going to www.EnergyStar.gov and look for rebate finder. Insert your zip code and click on windows and it will show the available rebates in your area. If you don’t see any rebates check with your public utility because it may not have been posted. If you are in California please check www.FYpower.org

To qualify and receive your rebate:
• Please check www.EnergyStar.gov or www.FYpower.org to see if there are any window rebate available in your area
• Please keep your receipt and NFRC Labels (example) for proof of sale and record
• If you are building a new home you are not eligible
• Fill out the appropriate form from your PUD
Loans
Many of these public utilities are also offering Green Loans. These loans are meant to pay for green updates to your home, whether it be windows or solar panels. Please check with you local PUD for these offers.
